Club Sea Kayaking Trip 6th August 2023

Postby tongea » Mon Jul 31, 2023 4:26 pm

So the Jet Stream continues to mess up our dreams for calm sunny paddling days, but unperturbed we are planning to run our usual club trip on Sunday 6th August. Currently the forecast is Westerly F4/5 with sunshine and showers but plenty of time to change before then!

Usual booking arrangements apply

A few of us will be paddling on Anglesey the day before (Sat 5th) again it is forecast to be breezy F4/5 gusting F5/6with more emphasis on the showers than the sunshine. If you would like to join us on the Saturday please contact myself, Fraser or Neil directly to check that whatever we plan to do is suitable.

There is no capacity at Anglesey Outdoors if you intend to stay over.

More details here later in the week

Hi Alan

I would love to join you for the trip on Sunday 6 Aug. I cannot edit the sheet to add my name unfortunately. As always I’m looking forward to the outing.

Regards
Ray

Please can you add me, too, as I can't edit the document either. Many thanks. Suzanne

With the weather system continuing to be unstable over the weekend and the strong possibility of residual swell from previous days, the plan for Sunday for both groups is to seek relative shelter and paddle the Dwyryd Estuary near Porthmadog.

Meet at Borth-y-Gest Harbour (Grid Reference 565 374) at 1000hrs where there is good parking and public toilets. Please try to car share where possible to minimise the impact on the environment.

If your plans have changed or there are any issues on the day, please contact Fraser (0792 0082985) or Neil (07790 612547)

I am really sorry, but, due to work pressures, I'm going to have to cancel my place for Sunday. Hope to see you in September if not before. Have a good trip.

Best wishes

Suzanne
