Hi all
Don't forget your festive head gear! Looking forward to seeing you all for our last paddle of the year and meal at the Poachers! Even if you have told John you're coming to the Poachers please also sign up below as usual:

If the canal is still frozen we will go for a walk instead, but fingers crossed it will thaw with the forecast milder weather over the next few days.

We had a great finish to the year with some good racing and fun, warmth and food at the Poachers afterwards. And Neil surpassed himself with the quiz, including a guess the tune round, playing the tunes on his ukele! Thank you Neil. And thanks to John K for organising the Poachers and gathering menu choices. Sunday's race was won by Sam and Jack, first time together in a K2, and wearing fetching elf hats! Second were Rod & Peter's K2, improving on their previous time by over a minute and 3rd was Natalie, with the rest of the bunch not too far behind. Well done all, especially as it was pouring with rain for the entire race.

And the prizes.... In the points competition Daryl was 3rd with 40 points, Andrew 2nd with 41 and the 2023 winner Natalie with 47 points - not far off the possible maximum of 52! And this year's best improved time was won by Duncan, congratulations to you all.

Next year's H&H will start on Sunday 14th January 2024, back to the usual start time of 9.30am. See you all then and in the meantime have a lovely Christmas.
