Flat Water Round Trip 29th July

Postby NigelK » Sun Jul 16, 2017 8:48 pm

Saturday 29th July

Anderton Boat Lift to Anderton Boat Lift via Acton Bridge. ie Down the Weaver and back along the canal.
Short portage at both ends to get down to the river and up to the canal, plus Saltersford Lock if we use the cut.

We are doing it tandem Canadian and will bring another for Martin and Sarah - Not planning on taking the trailer.

Meet at the Anderton Boat lift at 10:30. There is a £3 car park fee. Head torch or front lamp required for the two tunnels

Can you let me know here or by e-mail if you are joining in.

If this works we will try a longer one: Up the canal to Whatcroft and back down the Dane

Hi all.
Me and T can get there.

Hope this us ok with you Nigel.

I have access to a few more canoes out towards Northwich so if people who have the means to move them on their car want to borrow one let me know. You could pick them up on the way and drop them off on the way back.

This portage, Nigel, is it a trolley job or is it short enough for a carry?

Cheers

Lee - Short enough for teams of two but If you have a trolley it will help.
I'm planning on using our trolley for the sea kayak and manhandling the Canadian

No problem Nigel. I'll have a trolley with me.

Can't make Brereton tonight Daryl. Apologies about that.

See you Saturday ;0)
