White water rafting Llangollen

Postby Lee.F » Tue Aug 22, 2017 6:25 am

Iam hoping to take the family to do the above, in the coming weeks. What type of water levels would be needed to make it interesting for them?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Hi. I did the rafting with 24 kids last week and it was on a 3.
But the company that we did it with were great and made it really enjoyable for everyone.
Can't remember what company but they were in church st Llangollen.

Hi Lee
If you're concerned about water levels, consider rafting on the upper Tryweryn. I was bought this as a present a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I'd never done any kayaking at the time and didn't find it scary so it should be fine for the family (kayaking down it is an entirely different prospect). This is a realtively short run rather than a trip. They take you down about 3 times, taking the paddlers and the raft back to the top on a trailer and in a mini bus each time.
