WORLD CUP TRACK CYCLING MANCHESTER-End of October

Postby phil cheek » Thu Mar 26, 2009 9:09 pm

All,
This is as exciting as it gets as a spectator sport. If you`ve not seen a major track cycling meet you should.
It will be difficult to get tickets so if folk are interested I`ll try to organise it.
Who wants to come?

All,
I`ll do what i can to get us some tickets.I might try for Friday or Saturday night.
Keep the requests for tickets coming......I promise if you`re into sport this is where it`s at!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
BUT at times nearly as scary as motorbike racing, but at least we win on the pushbikes.

Yes Digby is making a good point Phil do the dates clash with the OMM 24th & 25th Oct. If so I think most of those already replying will be busy in very small tents etc...
Cheers.
Craig.

OK,
I`m registered for ticket info before the release date.
It will be a lottery `cos they will sell out.
What I`ll try to do is apply for enough tickets on each of 2 nights &seewhat happens

Right then,
Tickets are booked for Saurday Oct 31 for
5 Murrays,2 Harriss,2 Turners,2CalvertRands,Craig,Pete Redhead & me.
There are 2 sessions at 2pm & 7pm with a break in the middle(early curry?) and the schedule includes most of the best(in my opinion anyway events)
Womens-500m time trial,team sprint,individual pursuit,points race
Mens-sprint & MADISON(yippee)
You owe me £15 each except Saam who owes me £7.50
I hope this is ok for everyone,no time to come back to you all as the tickets are already nearly sold out & they`re not on public sale till Monday so I had to jump quick.

I'm more into dwyle flonking myself but I'll keep an eye out for any televised bits. Make sure you all wave at the cameras (in true numpty fashion).
