Massive congrats to Warren on a stunning result at Roth Ironman last weekend. He`d promised to beat my "club record" 10.42 & I thought the only things that might stop him were either stormy or mega-hot conditions.
Warren didn`t just beat my time he murdered it with a 10.06.Nice one Warren.
Chris Armour also had a decent day, recording 12.45 off very curtailed training.
It must have been a very exciting day as 2 men went under 8 hours(only achieved 10 or so times in history) while Brit Chrissie Wellington set an amazing new women`s record of 8.18 to finish 8th overall. That is very close to the British men`s record.

Thanks for your kind words Phil and Craig. Super fast course (though a tad lumpy on the bike) helped a lot. But now I've come so close to going sub-10 I of course need to have another go!!

Craig - of course as a honed athlete I don't drink but I may make an exception for a freebie!!

Cheers guys

Warren,Aalmere might even give you a sub10 in a few weeks time!& it`s an easy weekend trip in a car.
What were your splits?

I'm tempted by Aalmere - need to see how my legs are on a long run before I commit - but does look an even faster course that Roth. My Roth splits were swim 70 mins; T1 4mins; Bike 5hr 20m (21mph!); T2 1min; Run 3h 31m.
