Leek to Nice Nosh!.....Sunday 3rd September 2006.

A route has been planned from Leek town centre (bus station) to Trentabank car park at Macclesfield Forest. John Sellors (Nice Nosh) will be on standby at the end of the route to cater for the inevitable tea and cake brawl. The route will take in some great scenery: Tittesworth Reservoir, The Roaches, Gradbach, Three Shires Heads, Cumberland Brook, Shuttlingsloe before arriving at Macclesfield Forest. The approx distance is 15 to 16 miles!


Transport to Leek will be the No.108 bus from Macclesfield Bus Station at 10:35am (sorry but this is the earliest bus!) arriving in Leek town centre at 11:05am. The cost is £2.30 for a single ticket.

Leek centre out on the Buxton Road
Novi Lane to Tittesworth Avenue
Oak Plantation
Troutsdale farm
Middle Hulme
Whitty Lane to Upper Hulme
Rockhall along the Roaches
Bearstone Rock to Lud’s Church
Gradbach Youth Hostel past the public car park footpath on the left (SJ999662)
right at the road - footpath on the left towards Turn Edge
Path to Three Shire Heads – then on to A54 (SK003693)
Cross road to ‘Sparbent’ follow path to Cumberland Brook and Clough House. At gate cross road and field follow path to Shutlingsloe Farm and Shutlingsloe.
Descend through Macclesfield Forest to Trentabank car park.
