Gritstone Trail (Trial)
9:30am Sunday 5th June 2005

The Route
Rushton Spencer, Crocker Hill, Tegg’s Nose, White Nancy, Sponds Hill and finishing at Lyme Park’s main car park.
Drop off point/Parking: 200 metres past the start ‘Rushton Inn' lay-by.

This is a run/walk for the majority - meaning run most of the distance but walk the steep bits. If anyone would like to complete the course in a faster time then a guide or good map reader will be needed.

We will have a short break at Teggs Nose – for the facilities (No cafe).

The finish is at Lyme Park car park, but the best pick-up point is at the Boars Head car park, Higher Poynton and there is a café opposite.
(Please advise if you have someone picking you up and have a spare seat, if you cannot get a lift then please contact Jon before the run).

Gritstone Rambler bus service runs on Sundays and Bank Holidays: The 58 from Macclesfield to Tegg's Nose Country Park.The 60 from Lyme Park to Macclesfield Forest Visitor Centre. Things to consider:

• You should bring something to drink

• Bring some money – You may need more to drink/eat

• It might turn cold – bring extra layers/wear several thin layers
