Macclesfield Park Run - Successful inaugural run today

Postby YorkshirePudding » Sat Apr 28, 2018 5:48 pm

Thanks to all those Macclesfield Harriers who attended the inaugural Macclesfield parkrrun this morning in South Park I hope you enjoyed the experience.

For those who do not know about parkrun its a free (yes free!) run every Saturday morning of 5km. You can check out the local venues on the parkrun website http://www.parkrun.org.uk. but remember that Macc is best!

You have to remember to bring along your parkrun token, which you can get by registering free at the parkrun website

I look forward to welcoming my fellow Macclesfield Harriers to future runs

Best Regards

Surprisingly I enjoyed the course. Not a PB route but more runnable than Lyme Park and interesting with the meanders and grassy inclines. Will do it again.

Congratulations to the organisers. Well marked course, making good use of the space and loads of marshalls (thanks to them). I've done nearly 30 Park Runs over ca 8yrs on a number of courses (in London, (Wimbledon Common and Sutton); Bramhall; Congleton and Lyme Park) and think it was the most enjoyable. Maybe I just paced it well.
