Cheshire Track and Field League

Are there any club members who can breathe a bit of life into the participation and organisation of track and field athletics in the club. We have our first fixture in the 'family friendly' Cheshire League on Sunday(20/4/08) - Yet we are short of athletes and volunteers to make up a team - WHY?
The U11's don't have a team manager, the LADIES don't have a team manager and are struggling to get a team together. Surely a good competitive workout over 1500m and 3000m would appeal to some of our road runners! Why are parents so seemingly reluctant to get involved?
Are we an athletics club or just a keep fit outfit offering cheap workouts - Where is the clubs team spirit and 'corporate' identity? Any ideas greatly received!!!! Especially from other sections of the club who seem to be the most active on the forum.
