Running shoe choice for Chamonix trails

Hi all

I’m staying in Les Contamines, near Chamonix, for 2 weeks in mid August and am hoping to sneak in some running around family activities.

At home I’d normally wear my trusty Walshes for fell races and training (Peaks, Lake District, N Wales etc etc) where ground tends to be soft/ muddy (well normally!).

Would be keen to have your thoughts on shoes for the trails around Chamonix.
