Dear All,
I have just returned from a great weekend on the Isle Of Man. No doubt you all know how the festival works (3 races in 3 days, 10k, Hill Race, 5k relay). And many of you have probably been before either recently or in your hazy halycon days as a student (*cough* Dad). The races are well attended, well marked and on beautiful locations with a great festival atmosphere.
The weekend is still student dominated on the roads and in the pubs but one thing i did notice was the lack of veteran teams/competitors. With £4000 prize money on offer it seems like an area of untapped resources the club could surely infiltrate. Obviously it may not fit in with other committments but perhaps next year it would be good to see some more Harriers take part and show us loutish students how its done!
Well done to Chris Holden for flying the flag for Macc and Sally-Ann Hales for the mighty Cambridge Greyhounds.
