Chesterfield 10, Macc Tri results

Please note that seniors’ track training again takes place at the Visitor Centre in Macclesfield Forest tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6.30pm.

At the moment there are just 3 men who have made themselves available for the Northern Road Relays Championships on Saturday, 24th September. We need 3 more members to make a team. Several members are away on holiday, working etc. but if anyone else is free that day, please can you consider making yourself available.
Those available so far are Phil Barnes, Mark Walker and Steve Lomas.

Here are Harriers’ results at yesterday’s Chesterfield 10 Mile Road Race, a hilly course and windy conditions at the time.

Chris Harbron, 1:11:48 (5th M40 out of 37 M40’s)
Sarah Woolley, 1:23:54 (3rd F40 out of 18 F40’s)

There were also some very good performances amongst the several Harriers’ who took part in yesterday’s Macclesfield Triathlon, 220 finishers;

Seonaid Murray, first lady out of 50 ladies, overall fifth best swimmer (220 men and ladies)

Iona Cummings, 4th lady

Sarah Harris, 5th lady and 2nd F35

Tessa Montague, 9th lady and 1st F40

Barbara Murray, 2nd F50

Oliver Johnstone, 4th M40 and overall 11th best swimmer

Daniel Harle, overall 7th best swimmer

Neil Murphy, 10th M50

Peter Vince, 14th M40

Finally, please note that entries are now open for the Stockport 10 Mile Road Race, which takes place on Sunday, 11th December 2011.

This race is normally well attended by Harriers and the entry list is normally full before the day of the race.
