Dear All,

As previously posted, please note that entries for this January’s 4 Villages Half Marathon are now open on-line as at the following link (the page mistakenly refers to 2011 but this is the correct page);

The final Club Championship Road Race of the year is the Cheddleton 10K. This takes place on Saturday, 26th November at 2.00pm.

A familiar race to many Harriers, this is a well run event with the reward of a Christmas pudding given to all finishers. It is a challenging (very undulating) three lap, traffic-free course.

Last year’s race will be remembered, by all who took part, as around the time when the very cold weather hit the UK and conditions felt, for a road race, quite extreme, especially before the race got underway. The course was, however, fit to run on after some gritting had taken place. Hopefully, it won’t be quite as cold this year!

It looks like entries’ can only be made by post and details are here;

Entries are now filling up fast for this December’s Stockport 10 mile road race and the race will also most likely become full well before race day. Again, conditions last year were just about fit for running during a slightly milder spell amidst the general freeze.

Despite being quite an undulating route, it is not considered a slow course and many Harriers have run pb’s at this race in the past.

Entries can be made here;

All the races mentioned above (and also the Club’s own Langley 7) have excellent prizes, mementos and gifts to give away, to race category winners and to all finishers.

Best regards,
Steve
