Buxton Half Marathon

A wet and wild day saw five hardy harriers head off up the hill and down the dale in this tough road half marathon - makes the Macc Half course seem flat in comparison.
Macclesfield were up there in the prizes: Mark Horsley Frost, Gary Willock and Alan Wardle won the team prize, Chris Harbron was just pipped by Alan and I somehow managed to win the o/65. Camp followers were kept warm and happy in the Pavillion with plant stalls and sundry items. The Pavillion cafe is to be recommended for the generous slices of flapjack and other assorted sweet things at reasonable prices.
