Gawsworth 10km and 5km Fun Run - 14th Sept

You were asking about the Gawsworth 10km and 5km Fun Run on Friday night. This year, it is on Sunday 14th September at 10.30am.

Anyone know what this is like? It says it's mostly footpaths on the website! I have to be in the area on Sunday and thought I might try to find a race!

Nice + sociable roads, some tow path and various fields which I guess this year will be particularly swampy, and remember it is more than 10k really.

ex Macc Harrier Damien won comfortably although Tim Taylor did have a good go at the start. Very impressed with Ewan Douglas in 12th - I thought I judged races well nowadays (Pete Nolan showed me how!?) but Ewan caught me in the last couple of fields and I couldn't get him back. The impressive thing was that I then saw Ewan jogging back to Macc (so I guess he must have jogged to Gawsworth in the first place?)
