I've added some photos from Dave Tucker and Phil Janaway in the gallery.

I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but I would just like to formally say a big thankyou to all the marshalls who were out yesterday!
Your encouragement and cheers were a massive spur to make me look as if I was trying, and I am sure that I was faster because of it. Big thanks also to Mandy, Justin and everyone else who made the day possible. A great effort and a great day

Was it encouragement? Or were they just laughing at your shoes?...

I'll buy you a pint - several actually - if you get round either the Roaches or Tanky's Trog in them.

And thanks to all the runners - 'cause the marshalling's malarky is a bit boring without them.

No i wasn't bored either, just a little surprised how many motorists had such urgent appointments that it was impossible for them to wait 30secs at the leisure centre roundabout while a runner passed by them to finish!
But our Mr policeman was a much needed help, stopped us getting too stressed!!

But despite that a great event, and your shoes were a stoical gesture Phil
