Thanks Julian

It’s always my left leg; my right is generally very well behaved!

Hi Carl and Graham

Amazing feat this BG! very impressive! I would be interested in helping if this is still needed, with whatever it is that needs doing. I would try to run a leg if I could manage and/or hold food/water, whatever it is that is helpful for yous!

Thanks

Kathleen

Carl and Graham's Bob Graham 16/17 June

Postby Julian Brown » Wed May 24, 2017 10:49 am

To bump this back up the list....

Carl and Graham have allegedly dried out from their Lakes jaunt last weekend, and are going for it !

A rough schedule and list of current supporters is attached.

We're not too badly off, but ! there is always room for a few more !!
so don't be shy, if you fancy a weekend out in the Lakes feel free to post on here with an indication of what might float your boat and I'm sure you can be fitted into the plans.

Transport will be arranged 'nearer the time': (traditionally this has been a shambles with at least one 'select' person having to run back from Keswick to Wasdale to fetch their car.... anyone with the ability to drive two cars at the same time would be very welcome.)

I'm sure we wish Graham and Carl all the best for their attempts, and we'd like to thank them for providing the rest of us with 'entertainment' for a weekend on the hills and in the pub.

We'll be up in Keswick that weekend so can help where needed. Please be aware that its Keswick Mountain Festival that weekend ( 8 - 11th) and the place will be absolutely packed. If you haven't already booked accommodation or campsite then you might struggle.

Happy to run a leg if you need any more pacers on the hill. Let me know where you need help.

Cheers Andy

I'm sorry I won't be able to come and cheer you on as I will be on holiday, so just to wish you both the very best of luck.

Julian thanks for your post.

Mudskimmer you've got the wrong weekend - our attempt is 16/17 June.

Andy I'd be happy with another runner on leg 2. I appreciate it's the overnight one - so not the best!

Cheers

Hi Graham,

I'll run leg 2, no probs. Just need someone to meet at Dunmail on the way up so we can leave a car/tent there.

Andy great stuff. Send me an email and mobile number to broon_69@yahoo.co.uk and I'll add you to the contact list and send you the schedule, who's on what leg etc. There's a number of transport / accommodation options too which I'll outline in an email.

Cheers

Carl and Graham

I mentioned to Julian the other week that I should be ok to act as mule on leg 1. That is the case ( was waiting until felt that a niggle had gone away) so I am liaising with Julian re timings etc for meeting up.

See you Friday in Keswick.
