Whilst I'm sure none of our fell runners would want to venture onto the black stuff, especially for such a short distance (although there is a bit of hill...), I thought I'd just mention that the Leek Rugby Club beer festival is on all weekend, with free entry, and food and drink on offer (as well as beer, presumably, at least until the lads come off the pitch.)

Leek RC is rather conveniently located about 500 yds from the start of the 10k.
