Not a Fell Race

Postby Colin Ardron » Mon Jan 09, 2017 11:17 am

But a Trail Race - so hard core fell racers look away.

Yesterday three of us did the local Hit the Trail race in Reddish Vale. Not quite 5 miles and surprisingly hilly (well surprising to me anyway) and with enough mud to satisfy a mud starved hippopotamus. Nice little event - very well organised by Belle Vue Racers with a slate coaster memento topped with a mini jaffa cake at the finish.

Julie Gardner led us home in a time of 37.58 (2nd o/50); me in 42.00 (1st o/70) & Mark Godden in 43.37 (M60)

Also good to see erstwhile member Martin Cortvriend who sprinted round the course in 33.50 (2nd O/60) - all this travelling obviously doing him good.
