A ~2 hour off-road run from the car park by the Boars' Head Pub. A nice lowland venue for a 14k Sunday run to mitigate the rain that's forecast - as usual!

There's lots of choice for an after-run cafe stop close to the venue.

The Nelson Pit Visitor Centre was built on the site of a former colliery”.
