Bollington 3 Peaks Fell Race - Marshalls - Whos Who - 6thMay

Postby Andy Skelhorn » Mon Mar 20, 2017 4:32 pm

It's that time of year again, when I try and recruit enough marshalls to manage the Bollington 3 Peaks Fell race.
Can anyone who is free and willing let me know, so I can start planning. All marshalls will get a drink and a bowl of chilli at the finish.

If anyone wants to race, then some help with the pre-race car parking and marshalling would be welcome too. We even have online entry as well as EOD this year:

Can everyone who is listed for marshalling please arrive at the Brewery on Adlington Road for briefing at 1pm on Saturday to collect yellow vest and any more detailed instructions. It may be that I see some of you after the Rainow 5 on Wednesday, so this will also be possible for briefing instead. Be aware that it my be tricky to get parked down Adlington Road on the day, so you may want to park by the Middlewood Way on Grinshaw Lane and walk in from there.

Re: Bollington 3 Peaks Fell Race - A big Thank You & Results

Postby Andy Skelhorn » Mon May 08, 2017 10:00 am

A big thank You for everyone who helped make the race such a success on Saturday. Also lots of money raised for Buxton Mountain Rescue and Bollington Festival.

There were more runners than we could cope with, so registration and results and cars were a little tricky on the day, and many EOD runners were not able to get a number.
But for most people it was still a great day. All feedback will be very welcome as I look for ways to make things run more smoothly next year

Results are available via the Bolly Brewing Co website: http://www.bollingtonbrewing.co.uk/news ... s-results/

Marshal duties at Oak Lane with Dave Jackson. Nothing spectacular to report other than the sheer numbers of runners! Great to see! Only one irate driver who felt it necessary to sound her horn and wave her arms about and pull a face because real humans were crossing the road (how dare they) - but here she met her match - my facial contortions caught her quite by surprise and she became subdued.
