Ras y Moelwyn

Postby Andy Ardron » Sun Apr 02, 2017 10:57 am

Am thinking of popping over to North Wales next Saturday (8th April) to have ago at this 10 miler, entered it a couple of years ago but never started due to injury but looks like a bit of a classic - 2799ft of ascent over 3 mountain summits in the Moelwyn mountains in Snowdonia.

Anyone else fancy it? I think it's pre-entry via this site: http://www.fabian4.co.uk/default.aspx?EventID=1636

Hi Andy,

Do you have any more information about it? Distance, start time etc.
[I can't find anything about it except on Facebook, and I would have to join FB to get the info, which I don't want to do]

Matt, I found a copy of the course map here. This is from 2015 but hopefully it hasn't changed!

Andy

It was a British championship race in 2015 and I think the start and finish was amended for that yearto cope with the numbers. I did it in 2015 and it is a race worth travelling for, you run through the old mine workings to get to the Moelwyns.

Thanks for the link Andy. I will print this out, but hopefully they will provide a map.
I have entered online, forecast looks lovely, and am looking forward to it.
