This week we're heading out to the limestone dales of the White Peak where the flowers in the dales and woodlands are stunning at the moment, for a repeat of a glorious 7/8 mile run we did last year. We shall be visiting Peter's Stone in Cressbrook Dale, reputed to be the last hanging place in Derbyshire, Tansley Dale, Tideswell Dale, Water cum Jolly and Ravensdale. On the way we shall be passing Litton Mill with its terrible reputation of cruelty to its workers and Cressbrook Mill. The route is a mix of dales, woodland, fields, riverside and short sections of minor roads. The pace won't be fast to give us a chance to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Afterwards we shall be visiting the Yonderman Café which has a very high reputation for its breakfasts, bacon butties, etc. etc.

Meet 9.30 am outside the church in Wardlow Grid Reference (not postcode!) SK181747 or Tuckers at 8.45 am for car share. For those using a Sat Nav head towards Three Stags Head pub on the A623 postcode SK17 8RW. As you reach the Three Stags there is a turning to Wardlow opposite. Just follow the road up the hill to the church.
