FELL CHAMPS update after Passing Cloud

Races coming thick and fast at this time of year. Last update was after Mount Famine since which we have had the Wincle Trout and Boars Head with Macc turnouts of 48 and 31 respectively. 14 completed the Passing Cloud 1st Harrier back being Andy Harris with David Brockbank not far behind. Our ladies went well with Gillian Lindsey and Rachael Lawrance coming 2nd and 3rd and with Kim Eastham taking the team prize. Gillian was also 1st lady vet (planning application for wine cellar extension waiting approval).

Not much change at the top of the table. For the men Mark Messenger just heads Dan Croft (fascinating battle between these 2 V50's) with David Brockbank moving up to 3rd. None have yet done a long.
Clare Griffin leads the ladies followed by Gillian Lindsey, Kathleen O'Donnell and Andrea Frost. Clare's the only one of these to have completed a long race (the tough Edale Skyline).

Wrt performance against handicap a number of runners are performing significantly better than last year. In particular Mark, Dan, Gillian and Rob Bailey.

Coming up Bosley Fete Jun 17 with 3 races the following w/e. Whaley Waltz (unusual river plunge at the finish)Jun 24; Kinder Trog (chance to get a long under your belt) 25th and Langley Fete chance to support Sophie also 25th.
