Postby Julian Brown » Wed Aug 30, 2017 11:50 am

.... for those who might like to see their clubmates out and about, we have the following 'opportunities'....

0 Helping at the Chelmorton checkpoint Highstool Lane on the Bullock Smithy this Saturday 2nd Sept, 6 to 11pm ish, but we're not really expecting anyone to turn up for this...

1 We're running the last checkpoint on the Gritstone Grind this Sunday 3rd Sept from about 11:30am till the last runners go through. We'll be on the Gritstone Trail, at Bollington / Oakenbank, so from the Poachers, up the hill for 200yd then turn right at the triangle down the culdesac. All welcome for as long as you like, expecting to be busy 1:30-4 pm.

2 Manning the first checkpoint on the Goyt Valley Challenge from Burbage / Buxton Sun 8th October, we'll be below the Axe Edge road as last year, very busy but only from about 8:30 am to 10 am, after which we'll run / jog round most of the route, marking 4 below.

and finally
4 marshals for Langley 7, 4th Nov: post on here if you can help: we'll start collating folk nearer the time.

All welcome: obviously tea and cake may well be available to anyone able to assist ! Thanks in advance.

Julian, I'm going to mum's Saturday and probably won't be home until after 8.30 pm, but I could bypass Buxton and go up to the checkpoint above Chelmorton. Hopefully it will be dry and not too windy up there!!!!

Hi Hazel, many thanks for the offer! If you're free and fancy trotting up to Chelmorton then Jo and Alison woild be pleased to see you, but don't feel obliged to, entirely up to you. Could be chilly !

Say hello to your mum for us, I bet her garden looks brilliant !

Lightweights :) Never mind I'll be a hero in the cold, and wind, possibly rain, maybe even snow given its closeness to Buxton :)

Hi Julian,
can see quite a few Harriers did this but no "club" column as reported so can't extract results to update the club champs!
