CLOUD 9 FELL RACE

Conditions were quite "good" considering the recent weather. Not much ice/snow and the normally very heavy going fields were firmer underfoot as the ground was not fully thawed. Anyway a good turnout of harriers (I make it 25) in a field of 223.
The ladies did particularly well with Kathleen O'Donnell 3rd overall and 1st LV 40; Rachael Lawrance 5th lady; Anne-Marie Jones 11th lady and 1st LV60. These 3 made up a winning ladies team. Iona Harle was just behind Anne-Marie.
For the men Chris Goodfellow was 1st back in ovrall 9th followed by Jimmy Sheldon 16th and Neil Pettie 18th. Barry Blyth was 1st V70.
I'll do the 2018 Fell Champs table shortly (away next week). Cloud 9 was the 1st race with Edale Skyline next week (too late to enter) and Wolfs Pit March 18th.
