FELL CHAMPS after Bosley Fete and Kinder Trog

21 Harriers ran in the local Bosley race with James Wood and Chris Bentley finishing in the top ten. Anne-Marie Jones came out on top in a tussle with yours truly both picking up a bottle of beer for their efforts (1st in age Category).

12 of us did the 16ml Trog. The warm/hot conditions made for a very tough race. Surprisingly only 1 DNF in 170 starters. David Brockbank was 1st harrier back in 19th place. Once again our ladies did us proud taking the team prize with Gillian Lindsey 3rd lady and 1st LV40 well backed up by Rachael Lawrance (2nd LV40) and Kathleen O'Donnell (3rd LV40) just ahead of Alannah Birtwistle. Most were affected by the conditions in particular Dennis Kentrop who was reduced to walking towards the end due to cramp.

WRT the impact on the club champs. David consolidated his lead overall. Others will challenge this lead as and when they complete 6 qualifying races. Kathleen is currently 1st lady (2nd overall) just ahead of Alannah. Gillian is likely to challenge this lead. Alannah leads the handicap competition for the Ken Hall trophy.

Updated table attached. Next up is Sophie's Langley Fete race 2.30pm sunday. Sophie still needs a couple of marshals.
