WED NIGHT SUMMER SERIES after HOPE WAKES

A smaller turnout of 11 harriers compared to the more local races. Nearly all finished in the top half of the field of 215 starters.

Billy Hicks was 1st harrier in an excellent 6th place. Despite Robbie Peal suffering with heat stroke he managed to totter into the 1st aid tent in 16th place and 2nd U23.

Our ladies (Kathleen O'Donnell, Alannah Birtwistle and Rachel Lawrance) would have taken the team prize if there had been one. I think several of us were still tired after the previous w/e's exploits except for Dennis Kentrop who took a couple of "harrier scalps" as did Paul Fenton, 3rd harrier.

With just 3 races to go Robbie and Kathleen look unassailable in this years Summer Series. Updated table attached.

Next up is the Forest 5 July 18th. There's always a big turnout of harriers for this. Modified course recce next wed led by Emma.
