Hi All,

As you'll be aware, Sam Alston took on organising the race last year, but for a number of reasons, neither he or I are in a position to take responsibility for it going forward.

Hence, we need someone to take on the organisation of the race. Both Sam and I are happy to help where we can, but someone else needs to take the lead.

The application for the FRA permit usually arrives in October and if no one has volunteered
, there'll be no race next year.

Hi Simon, do you know the date of the sheepdog trials next year: if you let me know I'll put a message on the main page.

It is possible to register races with the FRA after Oct 31st: they just won't appear in the paper calendar sent out at Xmas.

For anyone thinking of volunteering: organising a race isn't that hard, even for someone as disorganised as me !
