Club Fell weekend away to Lakes 14/15 Sept

Club fell weekend away in September!

This is a great opportunity to get away with club mates, or establish new friendships. However, part of the motivation behind this is to provide a safe and supported intro to the Lakes for anyone who hasn't had much exposure to the high fells, while also offering something challenging for those that do. There are some fine fells around the top of Ullswater, so whether you want to run, walk, ride, cafe, or swim there are plenty of options.

We'll be checking out the fells around Patterdale on the Saturday (Hodgson Relays route - see http://hbmr.org.uk/leg-routes/) and Dalehead fell race for the High Fell Series (a short so don't panic) on the Sunday, but there is no commitment for either and we expect several activities to materialise. This is intended to be open to all so rest assured the 'running' will cater for a variety of fitness levels. People are also welcome to just come up for the day.

We've booked the camping barn at Gillside in Glenridding for the Friday and Saturday night (£20ppn) and hope to fill it (20 people). There may be the odd non-compulsory visit to a pub, but don't let that put you off.

At this point we need to confirm who else is up for it so that we can confirm the accommodation, as we will have to provide numbers in the next week or so and I'm paying the deposit from Daisy's trust fund, Please confirm in a message whether you plan to stay one or both nights, just joining for the day, or even if you want to come but plan your own entertainment.
