SUMMER SERIES FINAL OUTCOME

Eccles Pike was the final race last night. 22 Harriers turned out and in a large field of 212 the highlights were:

Nathaniel Booker 3rd just ahead of Billy Hicks 4th these 2 with Allen Bunyan (13th) and Mark Burley (18th) taking the men's team prize. Fiona Blagg was 4th lady; Kathleen O'Donnell 6th pipping Hannah Bridger by 1 sec these 3 a close second to Buxton for the team prize. Kathleen was 1st LV40, Clare Griffin 1st LV45 and Margaret Huyton 1st LV65.

For the series Billy was overall winner, Nathaniel 2nd with Chris Bentley just pipping Mark to take 3rd. Alannah Birtwistle was 1st lady with Kathleen just heading Hannah for 2nd and 3rd.

With 8 races overall and 5 to count 14 Harriers managed to do at least 5. Special mention for Kathleen and Oscar Trevena who did all 8, great stuff.

113 Harriers did at least 1 of the series.

The most popular race was Shining Tor with 46 harriers racing followed by the Rainow 5 (44) and the Forest 5 (41). The lowest turnout was Herod Farm with 18 running.
