9.30 Castleton Visitor Centre, Buxton Road, Castleton, S33 8WN.

Hazel is leading this week's Sunday run to take us to classic Peak District places with some historical pointers as well.

"The run starts from the main car park in Castleton where there is a Visitor Centre and toilets. We will be visiting Losehill, the Vale of Edale, Mam Tor (the Shivering Mountain) and the old collapsed road which was repaired 6 times before being finally abandoned in 1979. We will also pass Odin's mine believed to be the oldest lead mine in England and the crushing wheel. The route is approximately 8 - 9 miles with 2 good climbs, so this will be a slightly longer Sunday run. The forecast isn't bad at the moment, and hopefully we'll get some good views. Afterwards we shall be visiting one of the many tea shops in Castleton".

Park, meet & run from outside the visitors Centre main entrance 9.30. Bring a cag and cold weather clothes although its forecast to be a bit warmer Sunday?

If convenient meet at Tucker's for a 8.45 departure to car share/ directions
