9.30 Cat & Fiddle Lay-by. GR 001 719. "Julie's Choc O"

A chance this Sunday to do Julie's Choc O anytime orienteering event starting from the Cat & Fiddle pub lay-by. See Facebook Macc Harriers Fell Section for details and instructions.

This is not a leader run, just a chance to team up and run with whoever you find out on the day who wants to go at roughly the same speed as you. There’s the choice of a short or long route. I plan to be out for about 2 hours so probably just the short route for me!

Weather conditions look fine for Sunday so map marking should be ok in the dry. However the route is on high moorland so bring suitable gear for winter upland conditions. You will also need Julie’s instructions, map, compass and map marking kit. Sunglasses may be useful.

We'll meet up in the Peak view Tea Rooms Cafe afterwards.

If convenient meet at Tucker's for a 9.10 departure. Best to car share as there isn't loads of parking at the Cat & Fiddle. Otherwise park, meet and run from the lay-by there at 9.30.
