Club #LOCKDOWN quiz .. Friday 17th April 8.00pm

This ‘Virtual Lockdown Quiz’ will use ZOOM and is open to club members and their family and friends. We are hoping to raise money for the staff at Macclesfield & District General Hospital who are working so hard to keep us all safe and well under very difficult circumstances. There is no entry fee for this ‘virtual quiz’ but if you could donate to the following JustGiving page that would be great.

How this quiz will work…

1. The Virtual Lockdown Quiz will be held on ZOOM (works on PC/MAC/iPad etc) on Friday 17th April @8.00pm. Please mark the Facebook Event with ‘Going’ if you plan to come along so we have an idea of numbers
2. There is no entry fee but a donation to help the staff at MDGH would be gratefully received… https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ectstaffsupport
3. The link to access the ZOOM Virtual Quiz will be posted into the various Facebook Groups (Fell Runners, B/C/D Groups, E Group, D Trail Group) and also the forum at 7.30pm and the ZOOM session will be opened up at 7.45pm ready for a 8.00pm start. You will be held in a ‘waiting room’ until the quizmaster lets you in
4. The ‘Picture Round’ will be posted onto the club Facebook Page (public) at 7.45pm as a photo album – there are 11 pictures giving a total of 12 points (one picture has a bonus point)
5. Everybody (apart from the quizmasters) will be ‘muted’ during the quiz – you can leave your video switched on if you want (switch ‘gallery mode’ on to see everybody).
6. At the end of each round the questions for that round will be put on the screen for a few minutes in case you missed any of them
7. If you need to ask the quizmasters any questions during the quiz please use the ‘chat’ facility on ZOOM and we will try to answer them
8. We will give the answers to all the questions at the end – you will be self- marking your answer sheets (be honest please)
9. When you have marked your own answers and added up your score please use the ‘chat’ facility to give your team name and score and to say if you used Google to help or not (be honest). There will be two winners– the team who did not use Google to help and those that did. There are no prizes.
10. Note: There is a limit of 100 participants on ZOOM – so if the quiz does prove to be popular it will be first come-first served (if it is successful we may do another)
11. The quizmasters decisions are final
