Want a BMC Map - Peak, Lakes or Snowdonia ?.

Postby Beneficial Dictator » Tue Jul 17, 2007 1:57 pm

Various Members have expressed an interest in purchasing copies of the BMC ( British Mountaineering Council ) produced maps. For those who haven't seen them they are based on the Harveys originals ( like a KIMM or SLMM map ) at a scale of 1:40,000 but are printed on a plastic fairly indestructable paper ( they are not laminated and thick ) which means you can use them without a map case. You can mark on them with a pen just like any other paper map I personally think they are brilliant & well worth the money.
The whole of each mountain area is on a single sheet around A1 size opened out flat.
They are difficult to find in the shops and when available are £13.
If you are a BMC member you can buy them from there website for £10 + postage.

I am going to place an order for some, so for £10 who wants one.
Please post below, Which map etc... with real names please & I will do the necessary.

Can you get me a Peak Map please. Funnily enough they don't seem to sell them in the lakes! I'll send funds via Phil
