It was the first time I'd done this particular race. It was well marshalled (all friendly and encouraging) with plenty of drinks and the offer of Jelly babies/chocolate pieces at Laddow rocks. We were given an energy bar as we crossed the finish line and then a magnificent choice of very large bread rolls (I chose Tuna and sweet corn), a slab of cake, a chocolate biscuit and as much tea/coffee as you wanted. A lot of prizes including "spot". Recommend we keep this on our itinerary.

Barry is being modest, he won the v60 class.
Good runs also from Dave Walker and Justin Gutman. I hobbled round after my calf stiffened up dropping into Crowden. Still get 28 points though!

It was an excellent run, look forward to doing it next year when we might be able to see something - it rained the whole way and was mostly in mist. Organisation was superb. Barry had a storming race.
