Unfortunately the scoff on the way round the Long Mynd 50 could best be described as non-existent, you have to take your own (or get 'im indoors to appear at regular intervals). They give you hot and cold drinks on the way round though and the traditional greasy fry-up from 6am at the finish.
You do pass a couple of decent pubs though (one of them twice) the Stiperstones inn at about 25 mile has decent beer and food.
And the event's v well organised, and route is a good one, a bit more interesting than the BS I'd say.
Don't forget your triangular bandage and scissors otherwise you probably won't be allowed to start.

If you wanted something on the same day with excellent scoff try the 'Grin and Bear it' from Langsett Barn. A good day out and a good cause.
