Three Peaks Race 26 April 2008

Postby Mike Nelson » Mon Nov 19, 2007 11:56 pm

The entry for the 2008 three peaks race is now on-line:

This is a World Mountain Running event as well as an FRA English Championship race. Looks like the entries are filling quickly, so don't hang around if you want to run this one.

Just had an e mail from Dave Tait that it's filling up so have just entered. There are already 648 entered. It's an international event this year.

Bit of a 'Songs of Praise' theme developing with these online entries races it seems..... where was everyone 10 years ago when there were about 250 ... and I wonder how many won't turn up on the day.

For those who know him I'm pretty sure it's Dave Findel's 21st lap.
Good luck everyone, it'll be a great race / weekend. Pubs could be busy.

The following LDWA trots are on the same weekend... have a look on ldwa.org.uk
Woldsman (E Yorks - 50 miles)
Pendle Witch Way (erm... Pendle, 25/12 miles),
Quakers, Monks and a Lighthouse (Cumbria, 25/20/15/10/5 miles)
Wensleydale Wander (not suprisingly, Wensleydale, 22/12 miles)

All will probably have more cake than the 3 peaks.

Looks like I was lucky to get in as I was 648th entry stopped at 665. Have checked and apart from self Mike Nelson, Dave Walker, Steve Watts, Phil Barnes of Macc are entered. John Amies has but having just had a knee op he may havean entry for sale nearer the time. "Unfortunately" all the good V60's are listed.
