Christmas Party, Fri 14th December, Town House

Postby Julian Brown » Tue Nov 27, 2007 12:30 pm

Message from James, who tells me that the fell runners have been a bit reticent in buying their tickets.

We have now booked this venue for the 14th of December for the Christmas party and it will be kicking off at 7.30pm. We will have a fully exclusive buffet at a cost of £5 per head. For Tickets please send a cheque for Five pounds made payable to Macclesfield Harriers and sent to:-

James Sherratt
1 Castleford Drive
Prestbury
Macclesfield
Cheshire
SK10 4BG

Hope to see you all soon running

James.

P.s the Town House address is 13, King Edward St, Macclesfield SK10 1AQ - Tel. 01625 502153

In an effort to 'encourage' you, rumour has it that Phil has agreed that 5 mins will go on your handicap for each drink or sausage roll you get through, whereas you can reasonably assume that if you don't party on down you'll be allowed to set off just as the leader is seen coming off Shining Tor.... and the chances of their being more than a few crumbs left as Common Barn when you get back must be pretty low... you know it makes sense.

Notice in the Title of the original post it says Fri 16th & that should read 14th.
16th is the Sunday for the Fell handicap.
Hope to see you all at both events.
Cheers.
Craig.

[johnb] I've changed the thread title! - Craig you can do that - just click on the edit button of the first posting and you can change the title.

'Well done Wilson, I was wondering how long it would take you to spot that' (or something)

as a well-known resident of Hayfield used to say.

-have often thought us fell runners have a strange resemblance to Dad's Army.

Jules, how about getting a bunch of tickets and hawking them round the Wed night club. I bet you will get a better uptake than all that faffing around with cheques and post. Whatever happened to cash.
