Yet another BG,help needed

Postby phil cheek » Tue Jun 28, 2005 8:30 am

Can anyone help on a BG this weekend.
Carriers & particularly navigators Required to help Allan Greenwood on his 3rd attempt of the summer after 2 brave, weather ruined failures.
Allan organises more races than anyone else in the sport so he certainly deserves all the support he can get.
Any offers of help would be appreciated, especially if anyone can do Dunmail-Wasdale.

Phil Cheek(call me on07968 054714 to volunteer pls)

Another BG Attempt

Postby Colin Ardron » Tue Jun 28, 2005 10:33 pm

I am down to support Andy at Henley this weekend (he is doing the Diamond Sculls) but should things not go according to plan I will gladly do a navi or carry on the first leg. I will know sometime on Friday but as this may be too late for Alan to make plans perhaps I should be viewed as a last resort.
My mobile: 07754 198244
good luck and better weather to him.

The support is looking VERY thin,& forecast not good.
Anne Stentiford & I are working on him to delay till a weekend in late August & then get a top team out.

We have persuaded Allan Greenwood NOT to go this weekend on the grounds of poor weather forecast, weak support & insufficient recovery from his epic failure 3 weeks ago.
I have offered to get him a top team ie you lot! for a late August attempt.
possibly the Bank Hol so we can all sit at Annette`s & wait for the sun to come out if the weekend starts poor.
I`ll keep everyone informed
Julian, give me a ring if you fancy a longish run in the lakes on Sunday
