Anybody discuss lifts last night? Because I'd like one.

I'll do the short option (which I did last year), so I shouldn't unduly delay someone who's doing the 25. I've got a book to read as well, in case I need to wait around a bit.

Nancy,All,
There is at least 1 car-full.
Can you get down here early Sunday morning,or arrange with Phil barnes to get here together?
If Julie & Brian also come here we can then travel en masse....or does someone have a better idea?
Be aware I am not allowed to run,so it will be mid-afternoon before I finish,at least an hour or two after the rest of you even if you`re doing the long route.

The issue of lifts seems to be getting confusing

As I have, what will by the end be, a very muddy dog - I will have to take my car in order to contain the bouncy blonde bitch, and don't mind waiting at the end.

So, currently I believe that I have 1 Philip Barnes wanting a lift. Any one else wanting a lift can meet me at the Middlewood Way Carpark on Adlington Road in Bollington (opposite the Vale) at 6am. Please let me know (Tel: 07748 692342)

SIX AM!Andy, how slowly do you drive?
Can I suggest you take Nancy and Phil B.
If Brian (&is Pete Coppack coming?)comes here and we meet Julie(say in the Tesco car park on the A34 in Cheadle).
That might work & if we`ve forgotten anyone there`s a seat left in your car.
Coming back is more leisurely & we can have a fast group car & a slow group car.
What do we all think?
Phil

Hi phil

I will just make my own way there as I think it is easier than trying to met up on route. I am happy to take anyone back to Macc though if they don't want to hang around at the finish.

I hope you all enoyed your day,the weather was much kinder than i expected.
After jog/walking as far as Affetside & losing a few minutes in style queues i walked the rest with Margaret Huyton`s brother in law (Mary`s husband).Try walking 25 fairly flat miles fast sometime. It hurts,`cos it uses different muscles in different ways.my Gluteous max & my shins are really sore.We finished in 6.10 (ahead of all the walkers by some way & ahead of some of the runners)& were able to help some less experienced/navigationally challenged folk on the way.
I really wasn`t sure i wanted to be a "walker" for that distance, but in the end it was good,& must have helped my fitness.
Hoping I`ll be able to run with some of the slower of you soon.
Was the blonde bitch first dog,or did Andy prove too big a handicap?

Lilly the Blonde Bitch bounced round to be first Dog back, but alas we only did the 18 miles - as I was suffering from bouncing on my cocyx on the canal bridge on Wednesday night. But still a good day out and some nice company.
