Any slow people (besides me) doing this?
I expect I'll take a while to finish. But I'm happy to drive / share a lift.

Julian,
Strider says 8.00 start.
Are you & Jo both coming? If so probably best if you pick up Nancy & Tucks on the way down the hill, then Either come here to take 1 car with max 5 in it or if more than 5 you guys keep going and PeteC & I plus any other Macc residents will come in a second car.How does that sound?
How long do you reckon to get,50 minutes from Macc?
Also do you have access to map &/or route escription?if so can I scrounge a copy please, cos I think it goes off 1 to 50 series 109 for a mile or 2 & I`m too tight to fork out for another map.Ta

I found a version of the route description here http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/yorkshirewalker/details/anglezarke_amble.htm

Not sure if it is current or correct.

Phil, Will find the route + map at home & post on here - Nancy's is more or less right, but it changed a couple of years ago, and I think the bit round Turton Res to the moors is now higher up the hill, as it was well and truly flooded one year !!

We'll be going on our own as we'll probably have a bit of helping out to do and also am calling round to see my niece - she's 1 on Sat !!

About 1 hour from Whaley, probably about the same from Macc but a 10 minute walk from car park to start.

The route that corresponds to Nancy's description is here, but as I say I think from CP3 to 686187 is now further up the hill.

Hiya

I'm doing this too, got my number last night but think I will make my own way there though as it is easier than coming to Macc then going on.

Leaving my house at 6.20?

Yeah, but when Ron said that the beloved Lady T was still in nappies, sweeties were rationed and we`d never heard of global warming. And I don`t think Tucker was even a Dad!!
