Bike looking for a home

Postby phil cheek » Mon Feb 25, 2008 10:32 am

I have an old road bike that is surplus to requirements & looking for a home.
It`s a bottom end of the market racer,so a bit heavy, but ok for commuting, leisure rides etc.
It`s a steel Peugeot,SIS gears,14 speed,& would probably fit someone in 5ft 10 to 6ft 3 bracket.
My guess is it just needs a check-over & some lube.
Anyone want it ?

Hi Phil

I would certainly be interested in a quick look. I think I've got your number somewhere so I'll give you a ring tomorrow.

Hi Phil,

Our Declan might be interested- he has some long distance cycling plans for the summer but meanwhile he's commuting to/from Tythy.

Steve,Raph,Barbara,Declan.
Give me a buzz on 425539 if you want to drop in & see it.
I`ll give it a quick check over so I can tell you about anything that`s not working & if someone takes it away I`ll put a post on here to let you know.
PS For advice on long-distance riding contact Trevor who(rumour has it) went on a 65mile ride recently & with over 100 miles on the clock had to be rescued from nearly 50 miles from home.....great way to get fit!!!!
