A jaunt round the Kentmere fells is planned for Sunday morning, meeting at Staveley( probably 9AM) to minimise the number of cars we have to take up the valley.
Anyone interested?

It's a busy day Phil. A lot doing Cloud 9, some the Noonstone, Pete R up in Scotland doing some adventure race etc. Would like a run round Kentmere on another day.

Thanks Phil, I will be ready at the appointed time.
Forecast is for quite strong winds with high windchill factor - so bring a spare hat.

A spiffing day out yesterday, thanks all for your company.
10 harriers + Chris Cripps and Kirsty on a clear, blowy day on a slightly extended version of the horseshoe taking in High Street & Harter as extras.
Kirsty has her BG set for June 6th,I`m down to lead Dunmail-Wasdale in the early hours but would appreciate someone to take over from me from the Pike over Scafell `cos I`m not quick enough over that really rough stuff these days and might slow things down.Any offers

Can't but agree with your conclusion Phil - spiffing it was!
The bakery and Wilfs definitely put Stavely ahead of your Amblesides and Keswicks. The run wasn't so bad either.

I agree, a good run (hobble in my case) and good socialising venue, which unless you knew otherwise you'd just drive straight past it.
Next time lets hope the massage place is also open !
And next time hopefully I can run rather than hobble - I'm off to see the clunk, click chiropractor tomorrow.

Mudhobbler,
Your hobbling pace was just right, any faster & you`d have embarrassed the elderly gents of the group.

Where we go yesterday Julia Bradbury goes today. Did you see her on the Wainwright Walk on BBC2 tonight, walking to High Street from the North. The commentary mirrored our conversations from Sunday, the lonely male eagle without a partner since 2004, the horse racing on Riggindale and the Roman Road transversing the top. But we had better views. It rained for her and was well claggy, for us the sun and freezing wind but clear all round.

I know, let's ask Julia Bradbury to be our guest at the next fell dinner. I'm sure she could regale us all evening.
Why I would even be prepared to pick her up from the station.
