This is 11am this saturday. A BM at 6.5 mls 1110 ft. I'm planning to do this. Couldn't make the wed night run (grandparenting, 4th just arrived) so not able to discuss. Anyone else planning to do this?

Blimey Barry, how old are your grandparents - you're doing well to still have four...

There were a couple of people mentioned they were going last night.... can't remember who though !!! don't think there'll be a big turnout from Macc as a lot are away.... more points for those who do though.

I intend to trail in behind "The Lovely Janet" at this race. Now fully recovered from her excellent London Marathon effort I suspect no prisoners will be taken.
Looking at the route map on the organisers website it looks like a lot of hard surfaces including some road at this one so I suspect I will run in road shoes. It certainly doesn't look to warrant fell shoes looks more a multi terrain / trail race. Anyway it's a new race for me so worth a go.
Hope to see a few of you there. We will probably travel independantly as we will probably make a day of it & do a bit of rock climbing afterwards.
Cheers.
Craig.

A very pleasant quite informal village trail race. Well marked & marshalled & a free pint of local beer ( or soft drink ) at the finish plus a barbecue as well. Excellent. I ran in road shoes, not at all necessary to wear fell shoes as there is a great deal of hard surface including a big road hill to the finish.
Barry was 1st V60 man ( surprise, surprise ) running in trail shoes.
Janet Hatton was 2nd Lady 1st V40 ( & won, amongst other goodies, beer some of which I have already drunk - also excellent ) running in road shoes.
4 Macc Runners in all, in finishing order - Barry, Janet, Craig & Dave Walker.
