50@50

Postby geofpet1 » Thu Jun 19, 2008 8:53 pm

My attempt on an extended BG of 50 peaks to celebrate my 50th birthday is on for 4th/5th July. It's 22 years since I did my first BG, it will be interesting to see how the body holds up! The schedule is based on the 50@50 round on the BG round website but with a traditionalish Macc Harriers start time of 18.15 on the friday night.

I have an excellent and compact support team of Macc Harriers (doing the technical bits) and Congleton Harriers (running around a lot)

Probable support:
Leg 1 Digby & Bryan Carr
Leg 2 Mike N & Bryan Carr
Leg 3 Phil C & Pete Newham
Leg 4 Chris Cripps & James Pearce
Leg 5 Annette & Kev D
Road support John Amies & Chris Rhodes
Please let me know if there is a problem or if anyone else is keen to be involved

Chris - it would be great to see you, you to Colin as a member of the 1989 PB team (were you there in 1986 too i can't remember). I will attempt to post the schedule up later today.

Yes I was in the 1986 team. I started off on the first leg at some unearthly hour and going over Skiddaw my torch broke so that's why you probably don't remember me - I was separated from the group for most of the time.

Geoff, I will be competing at the Saunders MM that weekend with Janet on the Hellvelyn area so can't help, but very best of luck weatherwise. I am quite sure given decent weather you will have a great day out.
Cheers,
Craig.

Thanks Craig - have fun on the Saunders! Colin - I think I have a photo of a youthful Ardronius somewhere from 1986, I'll try n find it. I have some minor schedule problems at the mo, but the basic outline & road crossings are as follows:

REVISED TIMES!

SEE BELOW

I have no intention of taking all the rest its just there to make me feel better.................I will prob rest at Wasdale but not much anywhere else.
