You can download the medical certificate from the UTMB website.
You can get cheap flights to Geneva fro East Midlands.
Are there are several of us staying at a variety of accommodation in and around Chamonix.
Suggest you contact Julian and Mandy - who are also doing the LPT de L.

sorry - more questions

i've got it all booked and planned but we've only sorted accommodation for the sunday night afterwards

If by some miracle we finish on the saturday, is there somewhere to crash at the race centre or am i going to have to spend ALL night in a bar

Accomodation ie. a room where you can crash down isn't provided by the race organisers. The event centre is a Leisure centre, but there isn't really anywhere there you could bed down for the night. You could spend the night in a bar at the race finish watching the UTMB'ers finish tho'.

Team Name

Postby Dave Parry » Thu Aug 28, 2008 4:34 pm

Does anyone know Julian's team name in the petit trotte ?
You can track the race progress live on 'google' (Started Wed 8:00) but you need to select the team name to see where they are ...

tracking entrants

Postby philjan » Thu Aug 28, 2008 8:50 pm

In theory the following page on the tmb website enables race numbers to be identified -

http://www.ultratrailmb.com/inscrits.ph ... ltinscript

which works for ccc & utmb races, but for some reason "Race Number" is blank for 'pt' team members... :?

If I get the chance I'll search for all Macc members & friends and quote the numbers on a post on this thread,

Julian et al are: 37 - MONTRAIL UK / MACCLESFIELD HARRIERS
The google earth facility on the UTMB site works well except that I haven't worked out how you get it to overlay the route so I don't know how they'e getting on other than they have made progress since yesterday afternoon.

Thanks Digby. I'm sure the suffix of Macc Harriers to the Montrail Team name wasn't there yesterday Doh ...
To overlay the route just click on the dot-to-dot graphic for 'PTL' just underneath the team names ...
