Fell run Wednesday 30th July - Forest 5 Race

Postby Beneficial Dictator » Tue Jul 01, 2008 1:56 pm

I did not produce the ongoing calendar of venues for Wednesday nights I suspect Julian produced it in my absence to get it in the club mag GO!.
I note from the calendar produced that for the above date & race an alternative venue is suggested.

I am personally on holiday at the time of the race but would suggest all that can run the Forest 5 should. It is organised by a long standing club member with the clubs backing & support. It raises money via donations to run & all funds go to local charity. If you can't run ( injury etc ) I am sure your help as a marshall on the night would also be welcome.

I would personally prefer the alternative venue to be deleted.
Support the Forest 5!.

Enjoy your Running.
Craig.

Couldn't agree more! Much as I approve of the Quiet Woman, it's the Forest Five for moi.

Cheers all & enjoy the Forest 5. Only sorry I can't be there.

I've made it sticky for you. Best way to keep attention though is active posting, so keep putting the "bumps" in.

Help with Forest Five

Postby Pete Nolan » Wed Jul 16, 2008 9:37 pm

I would appreciate offers of help either as marshals or as registration or finish line officials.

Could you contact me on nolanpj@btinternet.com if you can help.

I've put a but on a couple of forums and sent out an Email to all and sundry and his dog.

The Quiet Woman was first put in the calendar for the March mag, probably before the date for the Forest 5 was confirmed I suspect.

Suggest everyone goes to the Forest 5.

Even now could not this event (after all it is one of ours) be included in the calendar alongside the published run from the Q Woman??

The new calendar has it in... I think I'll swap them over this weekend and see what reaction I get.
