Well done Tim!

I don't mean to be rude but who are you? Don't recall seeing you out on any Wed evenings, BG supports or other Harrier outings. Pl. tell us about yourself and come and join us sometime if you haven't already. Apologies if I'm the only one who doesn't know you.

Ben Dic - another recruit for the fell relays??

For those who don't know of Tim ( 19 ) he is son of one of our long standing senior ladies members, Sally Anne Hale ( nee Pattison ). We don't see him about in Macc as he is away at Cambridge University.
He was also recipient of one of this years outstanding club member performance trophies back at the annual awards evening. He comes from a track, road & X country background & is fairly new to Mountain running ( not true fell running as we know it ).
He's still improving rapidly & is one to watch for over the coming years. Note this years World Trophy is the uphill only format which is more suited to him evidently ( so his mum says, sally reckons she can currently catch him on descents !). Again for those not in the know these races tend to be steep but invariably on good firm surfaces more steep trail races & the racers generally wear road racing flats if the weather is good & dry.
I suspect Tim will soon get the fast descending technique sorted, maybe we should organise him lessons with Messrs, Cortvriend & Pettengell , the clubs lunatic descending duo.
Cheers.
Craig.

Tim won junior prize at Langley 7 a couple of years ago. It must be in the genes - Sally Ann Hales was in national marathon team if I remember correctly.
